MGT 475 International Business Management

Overview of Course

This course explores the fundamental concepts and the strategies that are involved in managing business across international borders. It provides students with an understanding of the global economic environment, cultural dynamics, international trade and investment, global marketing, international finance, and strategic management operations in multinational enterprises. Students will examine how businesses adapt to changing conditions for their operations, leadership, and budgeting during political, economic and cultural turbulence. Emphasis is placed on analyzing international entry strategies, global supply chains, risk management, cross cultural communication and ethical considerations. All of the course is catered to the national contexts of each country visited on the journey, with local case studies and discussions on the experiences through each visit. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complexities of international markets and lead effectively in a global business context.
